PETRU KSS – Kolibri Live – Part 2

Take your Soul Beyond Gravity – Kolibri Live LP’s journey advances with Part 2, highlighted by two powerful reinterpretations. Ordelion unfolds with hypnotic flow and subtle intensity built around acid synths, bridging raw drive and melodic space, while Landing closes the album narrative with a deep, immersive and atmospheric sense of arrival.

Arnaud Le Texier delivers a relentless remix with a true Berlin Techno spirit: dark and visceral that grips you deep and drives forward with unyielding force. Tobias. reshapes Ordelion into a trippy, breakbeat-infused excursion that teases out the acid undercurrents of the original while layering his trademark hypnotic vibe.

Joton reworks Landing in two striking versions: a gritty Techno Remix pulsing with raw energy, and a Breaks cut that adds a breakbeat drum foundation while retaining the track’s techno weight – creating a perfect parallel with Tobias’s approach. Both takes groove with expressive force and capture Landing’s cinematic essence.

Corsican-born producer and live performer, PETRU thrives with bold, driving techno and storytelling. Blending rhythmic precision with a strong sense of narrative and contrast, his music evokes both physical intensity and cinematic depth.

Rooted in hands-on, expressive, hardware-centric production, PETRU was awarded the Richie Hawtin PhD Scholarship in Electronic Music for his ongoing research project THRiPPS – Techno, Hardware-centric, Real-time, Improvisation, Production and Performance Study, which explores live, improvisational performance practices.

After drawing attention with his debut KSS EP and then Mediocracy on Kolibri Space Shuttle Records, PETRU released Mirage and Drifting Embers on long-standing UK label City Wall Records. His well-received EPs featured remixes from established producers such as Alexander Kowalski and Developer. His forthcoming debut album, Kolibri Live LP, marks an important milestone: a cinematic and immersive voyage from nature to space, recorded live in the wilderness of Corsica, with growing support from respected figures across the scene.
