Inspired by nature yet aimed at the outer space, the album balances physical intensity with cinematic clarity, driven entirely by human performance and real-time musical decisions.
Shaped through pure live performance, the music carries the immediacy and fragility of improvisation. Its energy come straight from physical interaction, creating rising tension, vivid melodic moments and a pulse that feels alive in the body. The album captures the raw moment of creation and holds its emotional truth.
Kolibri Live LP stands at the intersection of techno with raw elements, progressive evolution and atmospheric depth. It moves through hypnotic patterns, luminous motifs, acid-tinged currents and wide spatial textures, blending contrast and flow into a cohesive arc. Dancefloor-oriented yet narrative-driven, the Kolibri journey is dark in tone yet open and expansive in feeling. Its identity is unmistakably its own – a system of tension, clarity and forward momentum.
Mixed with Hannes Bieger’s trademark depth and dimension and mastered at Calyx with meticulous precision, the album reflects a commitment to craft at every stage. More than a collection of tracks, Kolibri Live LP is a statement of intention: a human, expressive, risk-embracing approach to live techno, shaped directly by its environment and carried into space through sound.
Kolibri Live LP marks an important milestone for PETRU KSS: his first album, recorded in the wild landscapes of Corsica and conceived as a voyage from nature to space. Mixed by acclaimed engineer Hannes Bieger, and mastered at Calyx, it will be fully revealed in Q1 2026 and it represents quality and craft at every stage. The album lands as PETRU progresses towards the completion of his PhD in electronic music – a statement that, even in an age of AI-driven creation, human risk, imperfection, and imagination remain at the heart of art creation.

PETRU KSS
Corsican-born producer and live performer, PETRU thrives with bold, driving techno and storytelling. Blending rhythmic precision with a strong sense of narrative and contrast, his music evokes both physical intensity and cinematic depth.
Rooted in hands-on, expressive, hardware-centric production, PETRU was awarded the Richie Hawtin PhD Scholarship in Electronic Music for his ongoing research project THRiPPS – Techno, Hardware-centric, Real-time, Improvisation, Production and Performance Study, which explores live, improvisational performance practices.
After drawing attention with his debut KSS EP and then Mediocracy on Kolibri Space Shuttle Records, PETRU released Mirage and Drifting Embers on long-standing UK label City Wall Records. His well-received EPs featured remixes from established producers such as Alexander Kowalski and Developer. His critically acclaimed debut album, Kolibri Live LP, marks an important milestone: a cinematic and immersive voyage from nature to space, recorded live in the wilderness of Corsica, with growing support from respected figures across the scene.
