“Recording for the MDH Hot Shot series, Corsican producer PETRU KSS steps out of the comfort zone to navigate multiple electronic music subgenres in a dynamic 34-track underground set.
Built as a continuous dancefloor journey, the mix moves from spacious, hypnotic and atmospheric textures into increasingly dense and driving territory, before opening into a more emotional and melodic closing stretch. Deep and hypnotic techno, experimental electronics, progressive sounds and leftfield influences come together in a selection designed to move.
The set features releases from highly respected imprints including Giegling, Ostgut Ton, Outis, Rekids and Watergate, alongside fresh cuts from Grab The Groove, BCCO and Kolibri Space Shuttle.” – MDH
“This set was the perfect opportunity to explore the smoother spectrum of my hypnotic range. I loved incorporating deep and progressive techno with dub, experimental electronics and Detroit-adjacent sounds, always keeping the dancefloor in mind. Finding unexpected connections between tracks and discovering how they can come together to create a coherent and rewarding journey is one of my favourite parts of building a set.” – PETRU KSS

Corsican-born techno producer and live act based in London, PETRU KSS is known for his hypnotic, high-energy sound crafted through hardware, he performs live sets that balance precision and raw intensity.
His debut Kolibri Space Shuttle EP (2022) introduced his signature style and launched his imprint of the same name. He has since released on labels including Deepsomnia and City Wall Records.
PETRU KSS has performed at respected venues such Renate Berlin, Razzmatazz (Barcelona) or E1 London, and was awarded the Richie Hawtin PhD Scholarship in 2023. His work has been featured in specialised press such as Tsugi, FazeMag, Monument, Vicious Magazine, and Backseat Mafia.
Beyond the club scene as well as his academic endeavours, PETRU KSS is also an experienced sound designer, having crafted audio for iconic video games and interactive media.
