– “PETRU KSS beweist damit, dass er keine Angst vor den rauen, schmutzigen Ecken des Genres hat. Ganz im Gegenteil: Er macht sie zur Bühne. Mediocracy EP ist mal überhaupt nicht hier, um nett zu sein. Sie ist hier, um deine Synapsen zu zerlegen und neu zu verkabeln. Der titelgebende Track, in seiner Originalversion wie auch im alternativen Mix, stürzt sich in dissonante Synthwellen und peitschende Grooves – ein rhythmisches Wühlen im technoiden Unterbewusstsein. Die Remixsektion bringt zwei sehr unterschiedliche, aber gleichermaßen faszinierende Perspektiven. ØLMØ schraubt die Spannung mit polymetrischen Sequenzen und einer Prise Körnigkeit hoch – hypnotisch, verwirrend, fast wie eine meditative Panikattacke. Sethi One hingegen führt uns in eine dystopische Maschine, wo Dröhnen, Knarzen und spontane Strukturen ein klangliches Paralleluniversum bauen. Beide Remixe liefern genau das, was gute Remixe tun sollten: neue Interpretationen, kein simples Aufpolieren.“

PETRU KSS

Corsican-born producer and live performer, PETRU thrives with bold, driving techno and storytelling. Blending rhythmic precision with a strong sense of narrative and contrast, his music evokes both physical intensity and cinematic depth.

Rooted in hands-on, expressive, hardware-centric production, PETRU was awarded the Richie Hawtin PhD Scholarship in Electronic Music for his ongoing research project THRiPPS – Techno, Hardware-centric, Real-time, Improvisation, Production and Performance Study, which explores live, improvisational performance practices.

After drawing attention with his debut KSS EP and then Mediocracy on Kolibri Space Shuttle Records, PETRU released Mirage and Drifting Embers on long-standing UK label City Wall Records. His well-received EPs featured remixes from established producers such as Alexander Kowalski and Developer. His critically acclaimed debut album, Kolibri Live LP, marks an important milestone: a cinematic and immersive voyage from nature to space, recorded live in the wilderness of Corsica, with growing support from respected figures across the scene.

PETDuo

Brazilian-born, Berlin-based duo PETDuo have been a defining force in hard techno for over two decades. Known for their explosive four-deck, two-mixer performances, they have taken their intense and uncompromising sound to Awakenings, TimeWarp, Monegros, Love Parade, Mayday and leading clubs across the globe.

Anne Gelfei and David Elie Merlino have shaped the harder spectrum of techno through their distinctive technique, engineering skills and self-made ethos. Alongside relentless touring, they run the labels Cause Records, D&A Music and PHONK! Records, collaborating with iconic artists such as Miss Djax, Svetec, Ben Long, O.B.I., Alex TB and Malke.

Balancing precision with raw human energy, PETDuo stay true to their mantra of creating machine music with heart and soul — a signature that continues to inspire a new generation of hard-techno artists.
