PETRU KSS – Kolibri Live – Part 1
Take your Soul Beyond Gravity – Kolibri Live LP, the debut album by PETRU KSS, begins its journey with a first release, unveiling two tracks alongside their remixes. Genesis, bold opener, ignites the voyage with hypnotic sequences and raw intensity. Trieuoppa follows with shifting rhythms and layered atmospheres, balancing drive with subtle mystery.
The release features a Ryan Davis Rethink, expanding Genesis into a deep, widescreen progressive house journey, and remix by An On Bast, infused with playful fluidity and hypnotic groove.
Kolibri Live LP marks an important milestone for PETRU KSS: his first album, recorded in the wild landscapes of Corsica and conceived as a voyage from nature to space. Mixed by acclaimed engineer Hannes Bieger, and mastered at Calyx, it will be fully revealed in Q1 2026 and it represents quality and craft at every stage. The album lands as PETRU progresses towards the completion of his PhD in electronic music – a statement that, even in an age of AI-driven creation, human risk, imperfection, and imagination remain at the heart of art creation.

Corsican-born producer and live performer, PETRU thrives with bold, driving techno and storytelling. Blending rhythmic precision with a strong sense of narrative and contrast, his music evokes both physical intensity and cinematic depth.
Rooted in hands-on, expressive, hardware-centric production, PETRU was awarded the Richie Hawtin PhD Scholarship in Electronic Music for his ongoing research project THRiPPS – Techno, Hardware-centric, Real-time, Improvisation, Production and Performance Study, which explores live, improvisational performance practices.
After drawing attention with his debut KSS EP and then Mediocracy on Kolibri Space Shuttle Records, PETRU released Mirage and Drifting Embers on long-standing UK label City Wall Records. His well-received EPs featured remixes from established producers such as Alexander Kowalski and Developer. His forthcoming debut album, Kolibri Live LP, marks an important milestone: a cinematic and immersive voyage from nature to space, recorded live in the wilderness of Corsica, with growing support from respected figures across the scene.
Ryan Davis
German producer, DJ and live performer whose music blends melodic detail with emotional depth. Drawing on his classical background, he crafts electronic compositions that balance narrative richness with dancefloor precision.
Since his breakthrough on Traum Schallplatten, his catalogue has expanded across leading labels such as Anjunadeep, Bedrock, Erased Tapes and Last Night on Earth, leaving a lasting mark on the global scene. Supported by artists including Aphex Twin, Kiasmos, Dominik Eulberg and Apparat, his work resonates widely and has taken him to stages around the world.
His distinctive “rethink” remixes have become signature works in their own right — not just re-interpretations, but complete re-imaginings that highlight his ability to merge technical craft with musical storytelling. Respected for his versatility and artistry, Ryan Davis has built a reputation for delivering immersive experiences both in the studio and on stage, connecting with audiences through a sound that is as evocative as it is dynamic.
2025 sees him deliver a striking reinterpretation for PETRU KSS’s debut album on Kolibri Space Shuttle Records.
An On Bast
Polish live performer and producer An On Bast has been exploring the endless possibilities of sound since 2006, blending techno, house, ambient and beyond into colourful, joyful journeys. Performing live with hardware, she treats each set as a dialogue between machines and audience, full of curiosity and energy.
Her music has appeared on Carl Cox’s Awesome Soundwave, as well as Systematic Recordings, Detroit Underground, Pets Recordings and more. Alongside these, her label Ghost Kitchen is a free creative outlet for her music. She has taken her performances worldwide, from DC10, Watergate and Fusion to ADE Awakenings and Mysteryland, always evolving in her search for new forms of expression at the intersection of philosophy, emotion, and sound.
In 2025 she adds to this journey with a remix for PETRU KSS.
